Recruitment
What we are hiring interns for: the roles, the pay and conditions, and how selection works.
Openings
There is one way in. When you apply, pick whichever of the four below interests you. Everyone touches everything at this stage, so changing later is fine.
Software Engineer
Build client projects and our own product, Makaseta — from unfixed requirements to something that runs.
- Ship something that works from ambiguous requirements, using AI
- Run it and verify before you hand it over
- Write code other people can read
- Meet deadlines — and speak up the moment you know you can't
Decision rights
Own technology choices, architecture, implementation, and release decisions within the agreed scope and budget. Changes affecting schedule, budget, or security require team approval.
TypeScriptNext.jsSupabasePythonLLMSales / AI Consultant
Meet SME owners and bring back what they struggle with — in hours and yen. Then design where AI goes and make it stick. Years of sales experience are not a criterion.
- Hold an hour-long conversation with an owner you just met
- Ask how many hours and how much money, never "are you struggling?"
- Never dodge the price conversation
- Trace non-adoption back to the design, not to the people
Decision rights
Own target selection, meeting design, and proposals within agreed pricing and positioning. Discounts and contract changes are decided with the co-founders.
BtoBSMB商談業務設計AI導入Communications & Marketing
Make Gugen findable. Industry landing pages and paid-search experiments, case studies, and recruiting comms.
- Decide who the reader is before writing
- Read the numbers and fix accordingly
- Use AI for volume, but pass everything through human eyes first
Decision rights
Choose themes, channels, production methods, and experiment cycles within agreed goals and budget. Official company positions and non-public information require prior approval.
BtoBLP検索広告コンテンツBack Office & Accounting
Keep money and paperwork moving: invoicing and collection, expenses, contracts, monthly close, and statutory deadlines.
- Reconcile to the yen
- Build your own system so deadlines never slip
- Research what you don't know and ask professionals the right question
Decision rights
Improve workflows, controls, tools, and close schedules within established rules and budgets. Final decisions on contracts, payroll, and tax are made with the co-founders or specialists.

Terms
- Contract
- An independent contract — not employment.
- Pay
- Task rate from ¥1,500, rising to ¥2,500 as your level goes up.
- How it's set
- Deliverable × task rate × estimated hours, agreed before you start. The amount does not move with actual hours — finishing early does not reduce it.
- Hours
- From 7–8 hours a week, negotiable. We do not set your hours or location, and we do not track attendance.
- Where
- Remote by default. Our registered office is in Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. We keep a space in the city for working together, but we never require you to come in.
- Moving up
- Own a project end to end. Review and fix someone else's work. Onboard a new member and get them onto a project. Three steps — never time served.
- Before you apply
- Because we don't track hours, deadlines and quality are yours to hold. Pay is not salary, so a tax return may be required. We explain the dependency thresholds before you sign.
Where this goes
- ・Your task rate rises with your level (¥1,500 → ¥2,500), on the conditions above. Never on time served.
- ・With our sign-off, and with client-identifying details removed, you can use your work in your own portfolio. You leave with something.
- ・Full-time roles open once the business is proven repeatable (three consecutive months of gross profit, a pipeline that stacks). Until then, interns only — and when it opens, we ask the people already here first.
- ・If it is not a fit, we introduce you to partner companies that take people on.
Selection Process
01
Application
Send us a link to something you built. We don't read résumés or look at schools. One thing that runs is enough.
02
Casual interview
30 minutes with Taiki Mishima (CEO). We talk about what you built, and how you decide what to hand to AI and what to keep.
03
Final interview
30 minutes with Yukito Go (CTO). A technical read, and whether we can put you in front of a client. If it's a no, we tell you the one thing that was missing.
Apply
We review your documents and email an interview booking link after approval.
